Applications for 2017 Conference bursaries closed on 31 March 2017. Details of the 2018 bursary applications will be published later in 2017.

What are Conference bursaries?

Each bursary will include full attendance at Conference.  This will comprise delegate passes for Monday and Tuesday’s Programme; full accommodation including all meals and attendance at both Sunday’s Social Evening and Monday’s Gala Dinner and Industry Awards Ceremony.  Finally, each bursary will include allowance of up to £50 against travel expenses.

In addition to attending Conference, each recipient of a bursary will have the opportunity to meet the Chair of the Society as well as, where applicable, the Bursary sponsor.  Each recipient will also be invited to write about their experience attending Conference and see this published in the Society’s Bulletin!

Who is eligible?

Those eligible to apply for this exciting opportunity are those who are

  • employed in a para-professional information and records role (e.g. records assistant, records store assistant, FOI assistant);
  • gaining experience ahead of embarking on a full-time course for which they have been accepted;
  • studying on a full time records management course; or
  • in their first year of paid employment following qualification.

How do I apply?

Applications are invited in the form of a written application outlining under which criterion the application is made and stating, in between 200 to 250 words why attending Conference would be of professional benefit.  This application should be made in the form of a Word document.  Each applicant may make only one application per year.
