Records management principles and practice in the post-modern world
To what extent have records management principles and practice developed/advanced to meet the demands of our post-modern world? What is the nature of that post-modern world? What is the current body of records management theory and principles and is it fit-for-purpose? What is best or appropriate records management practice? Who is deploying that practice? Which players are involved and who are the pioneers?
These questions and others will be explored with reference to some key research and development initiatives in different countries in order to paint a picture of where we are now, what work we need to do, how and with whom. Only the critical evaluation and continuous development of principles and practice involving all the necessary players will help us accelerate positive change. Symbiotic partnerships are key to success in the post-modern world.
