Assessing the IM landscape: the picture in Scottish local government

Conference 2008 Workshop 15 - Tuesday 15.00-16.00

This session is an opportunity for you to reflect on the maturity of information management within your workplace and to learn from the information management experiences of other participants. It will be a participatory session involving discussion and debate based on your views and experiences rather than an attempt to provide definitive answers.

Together we will explore what good information management looks like, how we can assess the state of information management in our workplaces and what we can learn from the practices of others. The experiences identified by participants during this session will be compared with the emerging findings of research into information management professionals in Scottish local government. We will particularly explore whether there are differences in information management between sectors or geographies. This workshop will also be an opportunity to test and challenge the research findings based on your experience of information management in Scottish local government.
