Why Image Matters?
This presentation lasts approximately 50 minutes and includes the following topics:
Introduction & Welcome
· Why does image matter in business?
Presenting yourself
· What It Takes To Be Well-Dressed · Understanding your own personal colouring · Winning colours
Your business image
· Determining your body type · Your business style
In business, your image is your most important asset. Experience and capabilities alone are insufficient in today’s competitive environment. The way you look tells us all about you, even before you introduce yourself. A poor image is self-defeating; it gets in the way of you projecting your true qualities and abilities. A positive image leads to improved self-esteem, which gives you more confidence; this in turn encourages your performance which earns you more recognition and even more money. On days you don’t bother about your ‘packaging’, you are more likely to retreat from opportunities that may come your way. Many men and women wish this wasn’t the case, that we should all be assessed only on our achievements not on any additional, superficial factor, such as appearance.
“….90 per cent of people make judgements within about half a minute of meeting you and interview decisions are usually made in the first few minutes. So, if your packaging is not right, you are not maximising your potential.”
