SharePoint 2007 and 2010 - the key questions for records management

Speakers: Cerys Hearsey and James Lappin

Cerys and James will discuss what they regard as the 7 key questions that the rise of SharePoint poses to records management and to records managers.

Topics covered will include:

  • The challenges of working with records management tools such as fileplans and retention rules within the SharePoint environment (which wasn't designed for them!)
  • The key differences between SharePoint 2007 and 2010
  • The impact of SharePoint on records management standards such as MoReq2

This session will take the form of a discussion between Cerys and James, both of whom have extensive knowledge of both SharePoint 2007 and 2010. As well as a dialogue between the speakers, the subject with be opened up to the floor to allow you to make your observations and ask your questions about this important topic.
