Records management as a platform for improved business process efficiency at TSol (Treasury Solicitors Office)

Conference 2010 S23 - Tuesday 11.30am

Simon will be introducing the session given by Pauline Brown of TSol and adding some additional information about how Box-It and Stortext combine to provide a total records management lifecycle facility which enables the traditional records manager to become noticed as a proactive enabler of business process efficiency within their organisations.

Over recent months, my team have overseen the upgrade of our financial systems, implemented e-procurement and on-line authorisation of in-bound invoices.
We have also introduced an electronic document management system for our invoices.
We have two separate private sector partners.
My presentation will cover what we have done over the last year, by harnessing electronic document management to provide a platform for electronic invoice processing and authorisation; The project provides us with both compliant records and archive management as well as a platform to that allows us to know where all documents are, improve efficiency and eliminate previous “temporary” document “losses” I will cover the rationale behind our project; where we were; where we are and where we are moving to in terms of process efficiency and what I would have done differently with the benefit of hindsight.
