Simon Ellis- Group Managing Director
Simon has been involved in records management since 1982. Starting out in computer output microfiche (COM) he was involved in designing one of the first computer aided microfilm retrieval systems in the late 80’s and got involved in scanning and EDM as early as 1989.
Simon formed FM image Management in 1997 offering scanning services and EDM systems – both of which were built by his team from scratch. In 2000 he scoped out oversaw the build and launched one of the first hosted DM systems in the UK. This system has evolved over time and is now called Omnidox (recipient of the Document management product of the year in October at the document management awards).
Joining Box-It in 2006 after merging his company with Stortext, Simon is tasked with identifying and delivering technology based solutions that bring traditional document management in line with system based solutions
Simon is also a RM consultant and has worked on successful projects for organisations in most sectors
