Matthew Stephenson, University of Salford
Matthew Stephenson is Head of Compliance in the University of Salford's Information Services Division and manages a team of four which look after records and information management, freedom of information, data protection, copyright, information security and software licensing on a University-wide basis and health and safety, equality and diversity, sustainability, business continuity planning and risk management at a local level.
He has worked in information management for 12 years, at Salford for four years and prior to that has worked at the London School of Economics, The National Gallery, Imperial College and the Science Museum. He read Biology at the University of York as an undergraduate and was awarded his MA in Archives and Records Management at University College London in 2000.
Matthew is the Editorial Director of the Records Management Society and Chairman of the HE and FE Records Management and Information Compliance Group, the RMS's HE and FE special interest group.
