Martin White, Intranet Focus Ltd
Martin White is Managing Director of Intranet Focus Ltd., which he established in 1999. Martin consults on the design and management of intranets, enterprise web strategy, and the specification, selection and implementation of content management and enterprise search software. Martin has over 35 years consulting experience in information management, electronic publishing, and technology forecasting.
Since 2001 Martin has written the Behind the Firewall column on intranet management issues for the US magazine EContent) for which he is a Contributing Editor. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Information Management since 1995. Martin was Chairman of the Online Information Conference since from 1999-2006. He has been Visiting Professor at the Department of Information Studies, University of Sheffield since 2002 and is a member of the Governing Board of CAB International. He is also a member of the Publications Board of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Martin is the author of The Content Management Handbook, which was published by Facet Publishing Ltd in early 2005 and Making Search Work, which was published in 2007, again by Facet Publishing.
Martin is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.
