9 November 2005 - London Group Meeting
REPORT OF RMS LONDON GROUP MEETING OF 9 NOVEMBER
Clare Cowling spoke to the group about her experiences as a lone records manager in an organisation of over a 1,000 people (the Law Society). We got a real sense of the pleasures and the pressures of the role, and an idea of the many different types of contributions records managers can make to their organisations.
Along the way Clare led discussions on topics as diverse as educating colleagues; reacting to information initiatives from other parts of the organisation; piloting EDRM; relationships with IT departments; and the role and purpose of records managers in organisations.
